For 45 years, Fairbank Construction Company has been an integral part of the ever-evolving architectural landscape, embracing transformative design movements. In the 1970s and 1980s, as postmodernism took center stage, our approach incorporated bold shapes and colors, departing from the minimalism of modernism, laying the foundation for our commitment to innovative design.
Moving into the 1990s and early 2000s, we navigated the landscape of deconstructivism and high-tech architecture, embracing fragmented forms and experimenting with cutting-edge materials alongside visionaries like Tom Kundig and George Suyama. This period of exploration fueled our appetite for pushing the boundaries, leading us into the mid-2000s and 2010s.
During the sustainable modernism wave, our focus shifted to clean lines and green building practices. We enthusiastically adopted digital fabrication techniques, 3D printing, and Building Information Modeling (BIM), staying at the forefront of technological advancements in the industry. As we entered the late 2010s, the era of parametric design and smart homes emerged, characterized by organic forms and the integration of technology. Drawing inspiration from architects like Zaha Hadid, our projects began to reflect a new dimension of innovation.
