Residential
Art and Playful
Perched above the Puget Sound with sweeping views of Mount Rainier and Blake Island, this Bainbridge Island residence is a masterclass in modern industrial design seamlessly integrated with the natural world. Fairbank Construction partnered with Johnson Squared Architects and Ted Tuttle Interior Design to bring the homeowners’ vision to life—an elegant, custom retreat that celebrates light, flow, and the ever-changing landscape.
The home’s bold structural elements—exposed steel, honed concrete, and floor-to-ceiling glass—frame the scenery like artwork, blurring the lines between indoors and out. A 90-foot glass façade and clerestory windows flood the interiors with light, while a unique parallelogram footprint embraces the site’s challenging topography.
Every element, from the custom staircase to the sculptural furnishings and curated art, reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration, and innovation. Built with intention and care, this home is not just a place to live—it’s a place to connect with the rhythm of nature.
