Job Description
Project Engineers support the Project Manager and Superintendent through the entire construction process. This is a pivotal role in ensuring successful project delivery. The PE is key in helping meet Fairbank’s highest standards in safety, cost, quality and schedule from the beginning through the end of the project.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting in all phases of project management, supporting PM and superintendent staff as needed including document control, verbal and written team communication, estimating, subcontracts, submittals, billing, RFIs and change orders.

Contributing to and supporting jobsite safety policies, procedures and general safety awareness.

Assisting PMs in preconstruction including subcontractor bid procurement, value engineering, permit application and routing.
Required Skills and Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in the building industry working with clients, architects, and subcontractors.

Construction management degree, or similar educational experience in the field preferred.

Drafting experience desired.

Full proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.

Excellent verbal and oral communication.

Must be fully proficient in Microsoft Project (or other construction scheduling software), as well as Excel, Word.

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and regulations.

Willingness to obtain Procore proficiency to company’s minimum standard.

General understanding of building code, land use code, and the permitting process

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday. Fairbank Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The salary range for this position is $33-$48/hour

7 Paid Holidays per Year (plus Veteran’s Day if you are a military veteran)
